Dappling sunlight filtered into the West Gallery of Locust Grove. Danielle’s staff from Hudson Valley Trendsetters moved quickly and efficiently as they arranged tables in mismatched china adorned with bright centerpieces of wildflowers and seasonal blooms from Maple Field Floral. I had gotten there early and began my day by moving around & taking pictures of all the details that Adelle & Bassam diligently planned.
The mood was soft and as guests came, they sipped on honey bourbon and other libations that reflected the couples’ taste. Birds could be heard chirping, probably excited by the fact that we finally had a spring afternoon. The breeze played softly and the ceremony was ready to hold its show under large trees that sprinkled patches of sun everywhere.
Adelle reminds me of a classy and vintage model. Her hair was done in an elegant chignon and her lace dress was reminiscent of a time long gone. Her fair skin glowed with fresh makeup and her eyes were lit with excitement as she got ready. Her groom, Bassam shone in a blue hued suit that was cool and classy and fit their eclectic taste.
Adelle & Bassam were married by Adelle’s father. His ability to keep an audience could be seen as guests enjoyed a poignant ceremony filled with tender moments and lots of nuances that is reflective of who Adelle & Bassam are.
As man and wife, their portraits are breathtaking. They made every moment feel intimate and they shared a clear connection that could be felt. Their bridal party, largely made up of family members from both sides, was a happy and lively bunch who shared a common love for joking with each other and having fun.
Really, I couldn’t have asked for a more lovely wedding! The whole day was sweet and perfect and their reception was kept moving on the dance floor as Carl Dayton played vintage hit after hit and the adults welcomed children to partake and have fun. Lots of dancing, mixed with some Michael Jackson inspired moves, made this a wedding to beat!
