Hudson Valley Weddings
The sun shone bright and a gentle breeze played out for Ellen & Kevin’s wedding day. You could hear the excitement buzzing with lots of chatter from family and friends and feel the happy vibes as each got ready for their big day. Ellen & Kevin chose to enjoy a wedding close to home with a local church ceremony followed by a reception at the Thayer Hotel.
While Ellen chose to get ready in her childhood home in Westchester County, NY, Kevin chose to go to the church early to greet guests and await his bride. They chose a church nearby to where Ellen grew up and the priest officiating had been with the family since she was a baby! A large gathering of family & friends surrounded these two as they celebrated their nuptials with a traditional Catholic ceremony.
Being that they chose the Thayer Hotel for their wedding reception, we made our next stop to Trophy Point! If you’re going to ever visit West Point, visiting Trophy Point is a must! The scenic views of the Hudson Valley are amazing and the continued good weather and sun greeted us as we shot Ellen & Kevin’s portraits! Once done, we headed over to the Thayer where we finished out portraits out back and with additional views of the Hudson Valley!
Cocktail hour on the lounge with guests milling around and drinking signature drinks. Happy smiles, laughter. Ellen and Kevin happily greeted guests and enjoyed themselves before heading inside the hotel for a lively reception. From heartfelt speeches, to emotional parent dances, these two spent the night with family and friends celebrating! If I could sum up their wedding in one word, ‘heartfelt’ comes to mind!
