Dan & Jaquie | A Hartford City Hall Elopement in Connecticut

Not every wedding needs a grand celebration to make it meaningful. Sometimes, the most memorable days are the ones that feel entirely your own.

Dan and Jaquie chose to elope at Hartford City Hall in Connecticut. With the focus entirely on them, their day was perfect. It was a reminder that a wedding is ultimately about the commitment being made, not the size of the celebration surrounding it.

There is something special about city hall weddings. They offer a departure from tarditional weddings. A couple can approach the day on their own terms. Without an elaborate timeline, there is room to slow down, be present, and appreciate the moments as they happen.

From a private ceremony to the portraits that followed, Dan and Jaquie enjoyed it! Their elopement was an opportunity to approach their story with an editorial eye while preserving the genuine moments.

As a wedding photographer serving Connecticut, the Hudson Valley, and the Catskills, I love that wedding photography can take so many different forms. Whether it’s a multi-day celebration, or an intimate city hall elopement, every wedding deserves to be documented with intention.

Dan and Jaquie’s Stamford City Hall elopement was a beautiful reminder that meaningful photographs aren’t defined by the scale of a wedding, but by the people and moments within it.

BEHIND THE LENS

MEET Summer

Photographer, artist, mother, outdoor lover, inspired by movement & motion, good light, and you.

I 'm a wife and mother. I love lazy Saturday mornings with a cup of coffee. I prefer nights on the couch with my family but also enjoy craft beers and apps in a swanky bar. I love being outdoors and I'm eternally grateful I get to experience all four seasons! I dig personal touches & homemade items over commercial goods. Admittedly, I also love shopping on Amazon Prime.

When I'm not in the Hudson Valley, you can find me enjoying time up in the Adirondacks at my second home. I find myself drawn to nature and the world we live in and often let it act as my muse when shooting.
