Rain showers had left the Hudson Valley feeling humid that Sunday. Very humid. The kind of humidity that feels so thick you can cut a knife through it. Didn’t matter. The Venue on the Hudson was all cool as I came in to prepare for Miriam & Al’s wedding.
Miriam was on her way, but Al was already there and I was able to grab some groom’s portraits as he slipped into a classic tux that was pressed and ready for him.
As more people came, I enjoyed shooting all the lovely details that had been painstakingly planned for months, and took my time shooting Miriam in a gown that befit a Queen! Her makeup was flawless and her cheeks were flushed as she gracefully handled the humidity to get bridal & family portraits.
Their reception?
It was a PARTY! With a lively Arabic band that mixed traditional music with contemporary songs, Miriam & Al had a large gathering of guests who rocked the dance floor the entire evening! It was a good thing that the venue hosts a wonderful room for weddings fit with a large and dramatic room – it was the perfect setting for a large and jubilant wedding that evening!
And of course, yours truly was just humble, as always, to be there to capture it all! A big thanks to Miriam & Al for entrusting me to capture an amazing day filled with lots of happy and sentimental moments!
