To cake or not to cake?
Ok, scratch that. No, seriously!
You should always do cake or some type of dessert at your wedding! Who doesn’t enjoy finishing off a day of gluttonous eating with something decadent?! You’ve stuffed yourself during cocktail hour (can I get an amen?!). You also made room for dinner.
But dessert…
That ‘takes the cake’! (Pun Intended!) And cakes have come a long way since the traditional vanilla or chocolate flavored traditional cake! Bakers are developing new flavor combo’s and have nontraditional ideas that may get you all excited for that sweet treat!
For me, your cake is not only a feast for my tummy (because I do ask my couples to feed me a slice), but a feast for my eyes! Photographing your cake is one of my favorite details! My heart goes pitter-patter when I see that cake rolled in for me to photograph!
So take some time and think carefully about what you want for your cake! Are you having a sweet and simple affair? A fancy and classic wedding? Don’t be afraid to try bold colors! Go crazy and use flowers! Or look up cakes on Pinterest to get new and novel ideas!
Whatever you decide is up to you! But I can tell you that I love novel approaches to dessert and look forward to seeing what each wedding brings! And more than anything, I love seeing how each couple puts their own twist on their cake!
