Stepping onto the property at A Private Estate is really like a world away. You can see views of the Hudson River and the great expanse of your surroundings hits you as you look around. If you’re going to enjoy an outdoor wedding in the Hudson Valley, you can’t go wrong. Located near Hudson, NY, A Private Estate has all the old world charm in a modern century.
Sora & Blake share more than common interests and hobbies; they’re both doctors and their love of serving others brought them together. And while they don’t live local to the Hudson Valley, they chose A Private Estate because of the ability to host an intimate wedding away from the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives. They wanted a wedding and venue that incorporated the outdoors. Sora & Blake wanted for guests to feel like they’re further from home than in actuality. They wanted their day to reflect warmth and love. And they got it!
On a warm and sunny Saturday, I found myself in Hudson, NY, and followed a long windy driveway that brought me to this jewel. I spent a rewarding afternoon shooting Sora & Blake, and seeing them with their families and friends. There was laughter, tears, and a sense of camaraderie as they said their vows overlooking the Hudson River.
We shot gorgeous portraits all over the property and stepped out for sunset portraits as the sunset. Being able to witness their happiness and capture their gentle smiles and soft laughter made my heart happy.
Their guests enjoyed scenic views as they sipped on cocktails and noshed on fall-ish apps. And a lively party was held right on site at the barn that the venue boasts. This was a lively wedding, and one for the books.
