Waveny House, New Canaan, CT
The smell of freshly cut grass filled the air as we pulled up to the Waveny House. My team and I had already been to Lakota Oaks to take pictures of Edith & Rob as they got ready (separately), and we had already shot their beautiful ceremony at the Immaculate Conception & Assumption of Our Lady. We were now at their venue and headed inside to start with detail shots for their reception.
A soft breeze played in the air as we shot clusters of flower elaborately adorned on tables. Silver candelabra sets and delicate china added to the effect. Wait staff bustled quietly and efficiently setting up cocktail stations, and everyone prepped in anticipation for the party! The venue, Waveny House, is a gorgeous Tudor mansion that is owned by the Town of New Canaan and a popular spot for weddings.
Waveny House
And one can understand why! It is the perfect backdrop for a wedding that showcased all the classy and special details that Edith & Rob painstakingly planned for months! From a sumptuous meal of filet mignon, to a Venetian Table adorned with a plethora of pastries, Edith & Rob’s wedding was a night to remember!
And the couple? Perfectly in love!
I loved this wedding and being the one to capture soft moments shared. Long glances as they watched one another interact with guests. Soft embraces and sweet nothings whispered during their first dance as man & wife…
It’s weddings like these that remind me of how much I love what I do and how blessed I am by my couples to be their chosen wedding photographer. And for all those couples currently planning their weddings? Feel free to click on the links to get more information!
