Hudson Valley Weddings at the Hill, Hudson, NY

The sun peaked through the trees as I pulled up to the Palladian Barn. Located on several hundred acres, the Hudson Valley Weddings at the Hill is a gorgeous venue. Nestled in the Hudson Valley, it offers a unique take on a barn wedding. From its color (light blue) for the main barn, to several smaller structures on site, the venue has everything to offer a couple looking for something unique.

The Couple

Tanya & David were anything but traditional! They wanted to embrace something unique! Having been together since high school, they had already created a life together. Their wedding was the next chapter in their love story!

Tanya & David knew they wanted a Farmer’s Market themed wedding. Tanya wanted fresh fruits and veggies to be substituted from the typical floral decor. David wanted to incorporate sustainable goods to be used to decorate and gift guests. From fresh artisan breads, locally made honey, and a lavish spread of treats, the wedding was everything that a couple could want!

That Dreamy Ceremony

Tanya and David were married under a wooden arbor (additionally decorated with fruits and veggies!) and the ceremony was officiated by Tanya’s Aunt! Under a warm sun, they swapped vows with a happy crowd of family & friends in attendance. Everyone enjoyed the personal touches!

Could they be any cuter?

Afterwards, guests sipped on specialty drinks. The appetizers were delish! And everyone enjoyed lawn games early into the evening. Once dark, the barn glowed with twinkling lights. Guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner followed with dancing. The wedding capped off with a sparkler exit! It was a beautiful wedding that was immensely enjoyed by all. And for yours truly, I was happy that Tanya & David chose me to be the person to capture it all!

BEHIND THE LENS

MEET Summer

Photographer, artist, mother, outdoor lover, inspired by movement & motion, good light, and you.

I 'm a wife and mother. I love lazy Saturday mornings with a cup of coffee. I prefer nights on the couch with my family but also enjoy craft beers and apps in a swanky bar. I love being outdoors and I'm eternally grateful I get to experience all four seasons! I dig personal touches & homemade items over commercial goods. Admittedly, I also love shopping on Amazon Prime.

When I'm not in the Hudson Valley, you can find me enjoying time up in the Adirondacks at my second home. I find myself drawn to nature and the world we live in and often let it act as my muse when shooting.
