Rain from the night before gave way to sunny, blue skies. I pull up to a closed fence and find myself deep in a secluded woods. The drive leading up to the venue makes me aware how deep I am in the Hudson Valley! It’s a romantic choice of venue for any couple who wants something rustic and secluded! The sun dappled through the trees as I finally up to A Private Estate. Located nearby to Hudson, New York, the venue is a registered national Historic Landmark. Boasting a large property, I was able to utilize various spots while shooting. From gorgeous views of the Hudson River, to a rustic barn and home, I have the opportunity to shoot my heart out for this gorgeously styled shoot.
The Details
A simple navy blue invitation suite helped set the stage for this vibrant fall shoot. Hues of reds, oranges, and yellow florals added pops of contrast. A Private Estate had agreed to host this styled shoot to allow potential couples to envision what they could do for their own big day! I shot gorgeous decor, a beautiful cake, and so many other simple details!
From a gorgeous couture dress, to handmade lawn ornaments and games, this classically styled shoot was nothing short of perfection! And while the shoot itself was styled, it gave me the opportunity to try new camera techniques and play with posing!
The Couple
Elizabeth and Austin had chemistry! They may have only met that day, but those two were able to fluidly pose together and made it look easy! I could shoot them for days!
