Hudson Valley Beach Engagement Session

Nyack State Beach, Nyack, NY

April 2019

Warmer temps began to thaw out the Hudson Valley! Brittany & Mike knew they wanted an early Spring engagement session, but felt limited by the lack of greens and blooms. So using the Nyack State Beach Park made perfect sense! We could utilize a beach location, get gorgeous images, and have fun with it!

And Brittany & Mike can have fun! They knew they wanted an engagement session that embraced who they are as a couple. She is a writer. He is a singer. They are both artists and they brought that feel to it, along with their fur pup! From using a vintage typewriter, to Mike’s guitar, these two brought those personal touches that helped complete their session!

On a lovely Sunday afternoon, we shot their engagement session. Like any other engagement, I use this time to connect with my couples. We talked. Laughed. I loved hearing their ideas and vision about their wedding! We enjoyed some bubbly! And we shot!

The end result? An amazing collection that embodies who they are and gives them a ton of variety to love over! This session was a dream and completely fed my creative soul! I cannot wait for their wedding this fall! Stay tuned! XOXO, Summer

BEHIND THE LENS

MEET Summer

Photographer, artist, mother, outdoor lover, inspired by movement & motion, good light, and you.

I 'm a wife and mother. I love lazy Saturday mornings with a cup of coffee. I prefer nights on the couch with my family but also enjoy craft beers and apps in a swanky bar. I love being outdoors and I'm eternally grateful I get to experience all four seasons! I dig personal touches & homemade items over commercial goods. Admittedly, I also love shopping on Amazon Prime.

When I'm not in the Hudson Valley, you can find me enjoying time up in the Adirondacks at my second home. I find myself drawn to nature and the world we live in and often let it act as my muse when shooting.
