There’s something special about a wedding in the Hudson Valley! The area is full of amazing locations that can appeal to any couple! When Catherine and Alex reached out about getting married at the same church where her parents did with a Thayer Hotel reception, I was on board!

No longer local to the area, Catherine had grown up in the Hudson Valley, but moved once she met Alex! So being able to plan a wedding from afar had its challenges! But for all the brides I have, Catherine had a lot of great ideas and included amazing vendors who would help bring her vision to life!

Like many of my couples, Catherine and Alex chose to wait an additional year due to Covid. They were determined to enjoy a wedding as they originally planned! And it was worth the wait!

With all the fall colors present, Catherine’s color scheme of blues and neutrals paired beautifully. Incorporating classical elements, stunning details, and a bridal party ready to party, this is a wedding I knew I would never forget

On a chilly Friday, we started out at the gorgeous Thayer Hotel for getting ready shots. The couple enjoyed a traditional mass at the Sacred Heart Church nearby! And of course, we spent time at Trophy Point (at West Point) for portraits, and ended back at the Thayer Hotel for an amazing reception!
